Taking better care of yourself...
Hello all,
First, I will say that any guidance that I provide to you, I’ve provided to myself first. I prefer to practice what I’m suggesting.
Now, as we’ve journeyed through this year of 2020, we all have been challenged with some type of obstacle, which I pray, finds you in a better place, closer to peace of mind. With that being said, I want to remind you that you have been designed with Gifts and Talents that the World needs!
So, in order for you to offer the World what you are carrying, you must take good care of yourself. You cannot care or guide others effectively if you are not operating in optimal condition.
Exercise, even if it’s just a little at a time. Go for a walk, do some deep breathing sessions throughout your day to get that oxygen flowing to your body. Do you know that people tend to be more creative when they have more oxygen flowing through their bodies? How? The more oxygen you have circulating around your body, the more energy the body is able to create, stimulating cell activity, especially in the brain.
Eating for nutrition: So, many of us, myself included tend to have some liking of what can safely call “junk food”, however if so, moderation is key. I’ve mentioned in prior posts that Balance is key, and too much or too little of nearly anything can be detrimental to our overall health, mentally, physically or even spiritually. So, do some research on best foods to consume and speak to your healthcare professional on what foods are best to ensure that you are getting vital vitamins and minerals each day. And don’t forget that proper nutrition and adequate water intake can and will have positive effects on the condition of our hair, skin and nails.
Supplements are good, especially Vitamin D which is moreso a hormone that we need to keep our immune system working. Researchers are finding that many persons who have health challenges, especially due to COVID 19 have been found to have low Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D is not produced by the body so increasing our levels either sunlight or supplementation is necessary to keep the levels up.
These are just a few tips to keep ourselves healthy through these challenging times, as the economic stressors and health challenges have the ability to take a toll on our bodies but only IF you allow it.
As always, please take care of yourself first and remember that Balance is key!
Peace and Love,
Soyica
